HIoTee, created in 2018, won the national i-Lab 2019 Competition financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and supported by the Innovation and Industry Fund. The grant of €245,000 is intended to finance the research and development program that will enable HIoTee to offer new products and services in the field of the Internet of Things, in particular in the energy, transport, mining and oil and gas sectors.
A recognition for this young innovative company combining expertise in space and IoT.
On Thursday, July 4, 2019, the i-Lab 2019 competition awards ceremony took place in Paris at the New Cap Event Center.
The company HIoTee, based in Montpellier, is developing a global solution in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector that allows you to communicate and control connected objects anywhere in the world, including in white areas, through space communications
This new fully integrated solution allows data collection, geolocation and remote control in real time and with complete energy autonomy, regardless of the location and communication protocol used. Its embedded intelligence allows it to optimize in-situ data in order to send only useful information to limit the price of satellite transmissions.
It thus proposes to collect information from connected objects and transmit it to customers, particularly in areas not covered today (in Africa, Middle East, South America, etc.), at a very competitive price.
The company has already validated its complete solution and is now in the implementation phase in the operational environment.
Obtaining funding and i-Lab recognition is an essential element in developing the company’s R&D efforts to recruit engineers and technicians in the field.
HIoTee is the winner of the i-Lab 2019 Competition among the 468 applications finalized in the national competition. 75 winners, including 7 in the Occitania region.
HIoTee received very strong support from the AxLR Société d’Acélération et de Transfert de Technologie (SATT), which financed the maturation of the antecreation project, the Institut Electronique et des Systèmes (University of Montpellier / CNRS), BPI France, the metropolis of Montpellier and the Occitanie Region.
This company is incubated by the Business Innovation Center (BIC) of Montpellier and certified by the French Tech Seed and the ESA BIC (BIC of the European Space Agency) which recognize the Deep Tech innovation of the project.
